• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Helibars, how are they?

I am thinking of getting the helibars handlebar extensions for my 2008 SM5. I have the BRP 1" extension already installed, but would like a little more. I'm considering these, or the 3" extensions where you have to cut your existing bars. I would appreciate any comments from those using either of these extensions. Sorry if this should have gone to the tech group.

I would look at the adjustable handlebars from Kewlmetal. The adjust in 3 axis and are very versatile and easy to adjust. I have them and are very happy with them, they are the best. Here is the link to them www.kewlmetal.com .

I have the HeliBars and like them a lot. I initially had the 1" BRP riser on, but my dealer said he could not mount the HeliBars with it. So that came off, and the HeliBars went on. I believe my dealer was incorrect. But it's done now. I'm very short waisted so it works for me. Some people don't like the look. But I didn't want to cut my stock bars. HeliBars only one of many options now to make the bars more comfortable. I'm happy with what I did.

I'm very happy with mine. If I had it to do again I'd probably go with the ESI or Kewlmetal risers for the adjustability. I'd prefer the bars just a bit more up and bit less back. Just my personal feelings though.
