• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Heim Limk inspection and New Shocks

Dealer called last week and told me to bring in my RT to inspect Heim Links, due to the recall or service bulletin to change these out. Bought my unit in May of 2013. He also asked me how the handling was, and I told him I had just purchased the new Bajaron sway bar to help with some lean and drift issues. He told me that was all he needed to hear, and told me they would replace the shocks on my 2013 as well. When I took it in, Saturday, he told me there were some heavier duty shocks, BRP had sent them along with the replacement Heim Links to assist those riders having handling issues. I did not have Ron's sway bar installed at this time, (service tech talked me out of it) until I could check out the new shocks.

Heim Links are good, New front shocks, and Wow, what a difference. Front feels tighter, leans less and at 75mph with two up last night no drift. Rode it in to work this morning and passed two semi's on the way. Handles so much better. I'm going to ride it for a while and break in the new shocks to see how they hold up before I install Ron's sway bar. The service manager, said he wasn't to familiar with the Bajaron sway bar, but said he had several spyder riders talking about them. I told him I was going to give these new shocks a run, and I would be back in for my 4600 mile check, and we would talk about the Ron's sway bar and Ron's new heim links some more.

Looks like I have found a good dealer, trying to take care of their customers. Louis Powersports, Greenville, Texas. :D

Tex, that is great that they were proactive with you. I had the bad shocks also but before I could convince anybody that they were bad I had the sway bar installed. It helped but didn't get rid of the issues. Then last month I finally got the new shocks and the combination of them and the sway bar was awesome. I don't know if you have had another Spyder but I had a 2010 RT and I had 2011 shocks on it along with Ron's sway bar and it handled great so when I got the 2013 I was really disappointed with the handling.

Sounds like you've found yourself a keeper of a dealer.:2thumbs:

Good news..!!

great to hear about another good dealer. Glad your handling has improved. If you have the BajaRon sway bar put it on and you will see the improvement double....
