• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heel / Toe Shifter ??

I haven't heard of an easy replacement shifter for the Spyder but I have seen a Spyder that was customized with floorboards and had a heel / toe shifter. I got the impression that it wasn't that hard to do but I speak zero french and the person who did the mod spoke zero english. :dontknow:

i would like to see similar set up for brake.
heel and toe shifter type of mechanism that i would have weight on my heel than simply use toe shifting motion to brake.

by the way do you think it would be simple to swap out brake pedal pad?
i feel its too small and too close to body

Floor Boards with a heel & toe shifter and a parking brake extension...These were being made in PA by Smith Industries..Contact Dean Smith @ 717-225-1413...I think Ciguy50 on another fourm had pictures..E-Mail [email protected] Phone (717-225-1413)

Hope this helps..larryd

Thanks everyone.

 Thanks everyone for the inputs / information. I'm going to e-mail him. I'll let everyone know what I find out.

Have the heel/toe setup on the HD and never use the heel shifter. Kinda annoying to hold your heel over the peg, waiting to shift. Much better control using just the toe peg. I only keep the heel shifter on there to keep my size 13's from scratching the primary case....
Yeah, I have it on a few bikes, too, but I never have been able to get used to it. Maybe a hand shifter at the tank would be better, like my old Indian...nah, that heel/toe foot clutch was just as pesky. And don't even talk to me about the left hand twist throttle and right hand twist spark retard. LOL
