• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

heel/toe shifter for GS/RS

Don't know about the heel-toe setup, but RT sales is a Spyder dealer, southeast of Fort Wayne, IN.

I'm asking after the fact b/c I ordered one today. Has anyone purchased one for their GS/RS? If so, is it an easy install and are you satisfied?

Someone did some checking and the one from InspectorGadget will not work on the GS/RS.

I was going to insert the link to them in my reply, but did not have it in my favorites. It is a really nice shifter, but only works with their floorboard according to the seller.

I have this shifter on my SM5 and I love it...serves a dual purpose in that it's also regarded as a forward control giving you additional leg room. One thing to be aware of...it's an easy install but you're gonna have to cut a portion of your tupperware to do the install..

Coz...I'll take a few picvs this afternoon and post them...have to run out and get a new battery for my camera....You're really gonna like this shifter...gonna spoil you...

Having trouble finding a battery for my cam...will try a pic with cell phone...If that doesn't work...will be in a few days after I order one online...sorry for the delay..

Littlebadwolf,

Just so I don't screw up my tupperware; do you think a good set of metal snips will work to make the cut you mentioned? What did you use?

I used a jigsaw but I think snips would work...Lamont could probably give you better advise on this...it's not a hard cut....upside down half circle wide enough to get your toes in...

Finally got a battery for my camera...here's a couple of pictures of the toe heel shifter installed...hope it helps..

Shifting process may be confusing at first but very easy once you get the hang of it...

the toe shift (down)...initially brings you into 1st gear...to go into reverse, toe shift down again...you can also use the heel shift to drop to 1st from neutral...and once again into reverse...

To shift thru 2, 3rd, 4th and into 5th...toe shift down...
To downshift from 5th or any other gear...heel down...all the way to 1st in increments..

It's not really confusing...just different...but excellent when you get used to it...
