• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heated vest on St Limited

Traded my 09 for the St Limited. On the 09 I had a couple of sockets put in for my heated vest any my fuzz buster. I know there is a plug in the front trunk but that's a long ways away. Anyone have suggestions as to where to install a plug if any?
Thanks

Gerbings makes a panel mounted plug that can go just about any where without being very noticeable. Suggest you take look at them.

I don't think you want to use the plug in the frunk. I think it isn't fused enough for heated gear.
On my RT, I ran attached the cable that came with the liner to the battery since it is already fused. Then I installed a Coax Jack Panel Mount on the dash. http://cdn1.bigcommerce.com/server4...panel-mount-2__64685.1329357308.1280.1280.jpg
Very convenient. I just plug in when I mount the bike and unplug before I get off. I have a wireless controller mounted under the lip of the dash so it takes very little time to do all the wire stuff.

Do you know if this will work with Tourmaster heated gear or do all the heated gear manufacturers use the same wiring/plug in?

Yes it's will work a long as your connection uses a coax cable. There are other dash mounts for other cable types. I also bought an 18" extension cable to fit between the dash connection and the connection coming from my liner. It just gives me a little more wiggle room.
