• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heated Grip usage

I had the dealership install the Cam Am heated grips on my F3. I finally found the itsy bitsy teeny weeny switch on my console. I pressed it...and nothing, no feedback if its working or not. And how do I control the temperature?

Before you say, "It's in the manual", the dealership did not give it to me.;)

The RT version operates off of a dash panel button for high or low heat. I know the set up is different on your F3.

I do note that it takes some time for the heated grips to warm up on either of the two RT's that I own. About five to ten minutes of drive time. Are you giving yours time to warm up? Is there an indicator light of any type to indicate the warmers are indeed on?

On my 2014 RT they worm up in about 3 minutes if I put it on high

I have the heated grips on my F3 and they are just on or off. There is no modulation of the temperature.

On mine as well

I've got them on mine as well. And other than the button depressing and staying in down position there is no other way to tell there on other than the sweet heat coming off of them (as the light is on all the time on the button)

Lewis at Electrical Connection is working on a heated grip kit for the Spyder, not sure of the release date you will have to give him a call.

I just switched from an '12 RS to a '16 F3 Limited Special Series, and I love the heated grips. They just have a push button for on and off. Haven't found anything on the dash to say if it's on or off, but it gets warm quick. However, remember to turn it back off when you're done or when you start back up it's back on again and it takes a couple a minutes to figure out what's going on. Would be nice though if it had a low and high mode.

yes, the light is on all the time. it does not change color when depressed. also, i have to take my gloves off to press it.

As others have stated, it's on and off only. You depress the button and if it stays depressed (you can kind of tell if you look real hard that it's pushed in slightly) then the grips are on. The heat is what I would guess as about 60% of high-heat on the RT -- definitely more than the low-heat setting on the RT, but not by that much. Because it's less heat, it seems to take longer to be noticeable, but you should eventually notice it. I have accidently left the button in the ON position on a chilly evening ride home in the mountains and then had an errand to run the next day on the front range where it was close to 70 degrees and after riding for 10-15 (15-20?) minutes I had a "YIKES!" moment with the hot hands.

Second this
