• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heat Shield

Heat shields

From Roger, on the ST Limited thread;
"They also included heat guards down by your ankles."

I asked this same thing on another forum. I sure would like to know the answer to this and if it would work on the 2011 Ltds

acknowledgement of problem

So they acknowledge the problem exists..:yikes:.does this mean we might be reimbursed for remedies we sought to releive ourselves of the problem? :roflblack: wishful thinking...Harvey's already made a mint God Bless Him! :popcorn:

I agree. I recall that BRP's write-up on the 2013 RT's mentioned an improved heat shield on RT's as well but whether it would fit the earlier generation is the question. Guess we'll have to wait for the parts catalog to come out and see what it is and then somebody try it.

From what I could tell in the pictures Fred Rau took, it looks like the body panels are shaped in a way to provide more protection from the heat for the feet. It didn't look to me like something that would be used on earlier models.

I rode the ST right after Roger; nothing on it will transfer over to an RT without an AWFUL lot of head-scratching... :shocked:
But the ibke also didn't throw any unwanted heat on me! :thumbup:
