• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Headset gremlin

While riding today I found that the radio (which I usually don't turn on) wasn't coming through the headset (yes, the volume was turned up). Since I rarely listen to it, this didn't bother me. But shortly after entering the interstate I heard truckers talking on the CB!!!

Got home, opened the manual, and played with all the settings. No luck, with either mine or my wife's headsets. Yet, I did hear the CB, and with the external speakers always off, it had to have come through the headset.

This has me puzzled, anyone have an idea? :gaah:

you probably had the CB Volume turned up but NOT the Radio Volume. two different volume settings on different screens.

also make sure in the last screen config you have it set up for headset ...forget the setting but you have to be stopped to adjust it.

I checked, both volume controls were on (med-high) and the external speaker setting was on. Thanks for your thoughts...

I think that is headset on mixed. That's what works with mine. Although I haven't tried it, I don't believe the CB comes through the speakers. No scientific basis for this thought, just a thought.
