Greetings. Posting this on behalf of my wife, FiFi. Just had the CB installed on her RT. There's an 8 inch pigtail for the drivers headset cable. On Goldwings, there's a headset connector/holder that the connection sits in. This avoids the cable wildly banging against the bike. See below pics. Is there one made for the Spyder? Couldn't find one at the dealer. Didn't know what I was talking about until I showed him one on a Goldwing they had. The current Goldwing connector/holder have 2 small nipples that fit into holes on the bike. The older model Goldwing has one that has 2 sided tape. I would probably mount it on the glove box lid. I also noticed when the wife disconnects the headset cable form the pigtail, the pigtail swivels off to one side. Don't think that's good for the connector on the bike.
BTW, I have a Kawasaki Voyager with the factory CB/intercom set-up. The headsets and cables are identical to BRP's for the Spyder. We used my passenger headset cable on her Spyder when she first got the CB installed. Then I ordered her a Kawasaki driver headset cable for the Spyder as it may have been a lot cheaper then the BRP one. And in case you didn't know, a company called Radio Sound, http://www.radiosound.com/, makes most radios, cb's etc for most bikes. But you have to be a dealer to order from them.
