• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heads up on 14 wind screen

I took my RT over some rough roads yesterday. When I got home both screws that hold the windshield bracket were gone. This could be a dealer issue, but to be safe I got two new screws and put lock tight on the screws. That should keep them in.

Just a a heads up.

 You might want to make sure that your dealer is aware of it; I believe that they've got to mount the windshield, and somebody missed a step! nojoke

Don't use loctite on windshield screws. Any that get squeezed out or otherwise contacts the windshield will cause it to crack. Don't ask how I know. nojoke

I made sure nothing touched the wind shield. The lock tight I used is not permanent. I checked carefully and nothing shows on the windshield. Hope it will be ok.

I think he is talking about the screws that hold the chrome covers on. I don't think Loctite can get on the windshield if those are the screws he's talking about, but it will attack the acrylic the shield is made from for sure.

It doesn't matter if it is the permanent (red) or the regular (blue). It chemically changes the plastic, causing it to shrink and crack. It doesn't take much...a virtually invisible squeeze-out will do it.

Thanks for all the advice. I removed the screws with the lock tight cleaned out everything and put in new screws.
