• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Headlight replacement on 08 RS

I've ordered the replacement headlamp from Can Am and am wondering what the procedures are for R&R this lamp? I'm hoping it's a matter of unplugging and reinserting the new lamp... Thanks for any help.

Are there not instructions in your operator's guide? There are in my '14RT manual - pictures too!

Sorry..!!

can be a chore. You have to remove the instrument panel..reach down (left and right) unplug the connector...remove the rubber boot...twist the bulb socket and remove. Then reverse the process (tight space with sharp edges). I have big hands that dosen't help. If you take your time it's not to bad. Just don't touch the bulb with your fingers...

SMALL

A SMALL SCREW DRIVER, AND SMALL HANDS ARE REQUIRED.....
on the top of your dash, you will see 2 small rectangular holes... place a small screw driver in and push lightly... while pushing, grab the gage cluster with the other hand and pull slightly... you'll feel it "POP" out... then do the other side... once the gage cluster is out, you can mover it to one side and reach in and 'turn n pull' the bulb sockets out - this is where the small hands are required... if not, you will find out what the word
"OUCH" means.... i have LARGE hands, not BIG, but large... and it took me just under an hour to replace 2 bulbs... not a fun thing to do... :gaah:
upon completion of inserting the bulbs, relocate your gage cluster and pop it back in... DONE...
good luck...

I found out the hard way, make sure that you don't accidently push in the bottom of the cluster in first, a real bitch to get back out.

Headlight replacement

I thank all of you for your information and I kinda expected this is what I would encounter. I do have some cotton gloves that I can use to replace this bulb once I get into the socket. I just wanted to make sure I didn't have to conduct any special maneuvers to get to the bulb. I know there isn't a lot of room to work in this space as I've been there before hooking up LED lights to the various wiring looms. I do know that I can unhook the cluster from the wiring harness to give me some much needed room and re hook it once I'm done with the bulb replacement.

Thank you all once again for your information. I'
ll try to complete this task this week...

Straddle the frunk facing the rear and remove the windshield. Makes reaching into the cluster hole and grabbing, twisting the bulb out a lot faster and easier on your wrists.
