We will be staying at the RV campground in Cullasaja, between Franklin and Highlands NC, Thurs to Monday, ryding the roads all through the area over the weekend. Weather should be good, maybe a little early for fall colors but hopefully the roads wont be clogged with crawling cages yet.

Let me know if you will be in the area and maybe we can get some Spyders together ! I'll buy burgers at Deals Gap for any Spyder ryders that show up while we are there !

just my luck

I was there two weeks ago and hungry too but had to buy my own burgers...LOL Only saw one other spyder . There were so many bikes on the dragon on Sat it wasn't fun.It literally was almost a continuous line of bikes about half way thru to the end and if one would have gone down it would have been a mess.Early in the day too , about 1030. Hit the Cherahala and only saw about 10 bikes the whole way.

Hey Jack, sorry we can't be there, but can you deliver? I'll be in the W&P like yours in Daytona. I'm sure the weather will be with you guys. We will try for next time. See ya soon.
Almost had to call you tonite during "Boys Nite Out". Couldn't think of the the name for "Monteagle". Love chasing up that little ol' hill.:b2b:

Jack, Sorry I didnt get back with ya. Been in GMDSS school the last 10 days. My parents have thier rv at Cullasaja River rv park.. Great place. Make sure you hit up Ellijay rd, right off Highlands road. Nice winding road.

My son and I will be at the Dragon on our Spyders (red 09 RS and a silver 09 RS) along with some of our Blue Knights Motorcycle Club Members on Sunday morning. We are going up Saturday and staying over in Cherokee at the Hampton Inn. We are going to do the Wheels Through Time Museum Saturday afternoon after lunch at the Legends Bar and Grill in Maggie Valley. Look out for us and you are welcome to join with our group

We'll be looking for you... we will be at Deals Gap several times, but also touring around Franklin, Cashiers, Sylva, Brevard (my hometown!) over the weekend. We will be camping at the Cullasaja RV Park near Highlands.

We were there this past weekend. Didn't do the dragon but who cares the roads up there are awesome and the weather was perfect. We drove up all the way from Miami and had a wonderful change of scenery. Saw a few other can ams and we get so excited to be owners too. We have had our Rt limited edition for about 3 months and are loving it. Have family in Highlands so we will be up there as often as we can.

So far the only spyder we have seen is SpikeTWD on a nice blue RT from Huntsville, near our campground. We rode a nice loop today, Franklin-Highlands-Cashiers-LakeToxaway-Brevard-PisgahNatForrest-BlueRidgePkwy-Waynesville-Sylva and back to our camper near Franklin, but never saw another Spyder!

Tomorrow, Deal's Gap and the Dragon...

I need to take a break so I plan on running up there for a burger. Maybe I'll see you there. :doorag:

Nice loop you made today. Pisgah is nice, especially the walk to the lookout tower. There is a Spyder in the park, but he is gone right now.

Another beautiful day in the NC mtns today... made it up to Deals Gap but what a Zoo, wall to wall bikes and people even parking along the roads near there. We didnt ride the Dragon due to the visible traffic jam and since we live close enough to do it anytime, but it was worth the trip to see the sights.

Lamonster was there and was the only one that joined us for the free hamburger lunch offer! We did see one other spyder, a white RT from California. We had a nice visit with Lamont. Too bad I didnt get to buy lunch for more spyders!

We went up to the the Gap on Moonshiner 28 via Fontana but came back on Wayah Rd from Topton across the mtn and by Lake Nantahala to Franklin.. a really beautiful ride and with no traffic at all (this one goes in my list of all time favorites).

I'll post some pictures later.

Went to Little Switzerland, NC last week-end with the Southern Cruisers Riding Club. Saw a Momma Bear and two cubs.....in a tree 20 feet from the lodge we were staying in! Also got to ride through rain, sleet, and SNOW! on the Blue Ridge on the way home. Got to ride the Diamondback, but, didn't make it to the Snake. It was raining too hard. Ate lunch Saturday in Boone. Ate lunch at the BBQ place in Brevard on the way home Sunday. Little Switzerland is up near Spruce Pine/Grandfather Mountain.

see ya on the 22nd,
Carl and Karen

We were down a few weeks ago. great roads in that area. Deals gap, not fun to many people. Wayah road is better than the gap. Best kept secret in the area.

Lamont,
You must have a permanent parking spot there at Deals Gap. I met you, parked in the same place, about two years ago!

10/21-23

My son and I will be in the area 10/21-23 but in our cars; Porsche Boxster and Honda S2K. I'll b sure to say hi if I see anybody sporting a Spyder. We plan to be at The Dragon Saturday morning 10-ish weather permitting.

Lamont,

Buy you a burger if you show up...the least I could do.
