• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Head lights fit in fog light space

Will the head light fit where the fog light go if you have the plastic parts that come with the fog light kit, if so it would match the light output as the head light.

Hi,
I believe they will. The reason I say that is because in OZ the lower lights (your fog lights) are the low beam of the Headlights and the upper lights (your headlights) are high beam. Don't know why they did that here but it most likely has to do with the regulations for road worthy.:wrong:

NMN HIDs

I have both the NMN head light and fog light HID up grades. They will light up your world like it being daylight, these are fantastic.:2thumbs:

I thought hard and long on this one.... I really wanted to have a set of Bi-Projectors in the place of the driving lights.

The headlight projector assembly is much bigger and not designed in a manner that would not make it easy to extract. Even if you did, the housing just wont fit without some major work.

Maybe Hella makes a Bi-Projector in the same specs as the fog lights, I just never looked that deep in to it.

You will notice a huge difference in output if you install an aftermarket HID kit in there.

Different down under

I have no idea why it is like that either, but that's the way it is. :dontknow: I'll be adjusting mine tonight because they are aimed a bit high (I can see the top of the beam sweep down the back of the car in front as I approach)

There should therefore be a BRP part that will mount headlights in that position for you. (Yup, 705001469 LH Headlamp Bezel, 705002510 LH Headlamp Support, Black, 705001470 RH Headlamp Bezel, 705002511 RH Headlamp Support, Black, 269501387 Nut Housing Ass'y, 207682544 Hex. Flanged Screw M8 X 25. All parts from the Europe model.)

Well I got a set of the stock head lights and they are big, I can't tell the size of the fog light as I have not seen a set of the fog lights on a spyder except the photos I see on the internet and they do look smaller. Can someone who has both tell me is they are the same size if you know. If you are wondering why I want to use head lights as fog light (why not) well they will be much brighter and I have the F1 clear yellow covers on the head light and like how they look but need to have white light to be legal.

I am not much on doing things with lights . . . .

. . . . . . but I would do that. I like that option better than the shutter in the headlights to go from High to "Low" beams. I also like the idea if one of your headlights burn out, you at least have the option of switching to the other set.
