• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Preparing to video our trip this summer, a test for my wife to see
how to hold camera, herself and wipe her nose while taking a video ;D

Also took a close-up of the Hindle.

Video is made in High Definition, (free) DIVX webplayer needed.
Download link for webplayer is provided under video if needed.

Thx, just a little test to see how she has to handle the camera and give instructions.
Nothing special, a few "backyard' roads... And it's at least better quality as on youtube
(but bigger filesize though...)

I quit videoing on a motorcycle because of the quality. After watching yours, I will probably take it back up. Absolutely loved the quality of the video. Now that's something I would spend the time watching. Have a great trip.

HD is realy nice.
Take a look at this one and doubleclick on the video:
http://www.spyderweb.be/videos/spyder_brussels_2008.html

Even fullscreen the quality is good. Filesize of that video is 75 MB

The files are crisp and clear on a 32 inch HD TV and a lot better then normal DVD

I don't know what is going on, but I don't get Brussels, I get your test video again. Any ideas

Yeah, dltang, I opened the Brussels one first, then tried the test, but the Brissels one still played.

I tried emptying the cache and deleting the divx cookies but no go...

Weird, works perfect for me on 4 different computers . Hears like a catch thingie...
Or try to install latest divx webplayer, maybe that can help. (downloadlink on page)

Both worked for me and I'm noted for being unable to play most of the videos I want to watch. What camera did you use to make the video? Was it a helmet cam or hand held?

Richard

I have Divx installed, and clicking on that video link crashes both IE and Firefox to my desktop. I installed Firefox soley to watch that video because it will not play with IE.

Now I m concerned that theres something aloof with my computer. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

It is your system, windows can get pretty messed up after a while...
I have 4 computers and all are running fine with divx.

crap. I uninstalled divx, rebooted, did a registry cleanse, rebooted, reinstalled divx, and still get the same crash.

I guess divx just doesnt like this computer.:)

Thats what I would have done too. If that doesnt help and you got similar other glitches it's time to format C:
and reinstall windows. Windows gets crippeled after a while from mass installing and removing...
You can try to remove all your current video tools and progs and special add-ons/drivers regarding video.
But probably there are essential files damaged. The good thing after a format is is that your windows will be fast again ;D

I think I misunderstood what was on the video and everyone else misunderstood me regarding the video. I have the DIVX and I can see both the video clip you list as a test and I can see the video you list as brussels. They look great and the definition is fantastic. The problem is, they are the same video. Both are video's of a Bike show or Spyder show or something in Brussels. I thought one had some scenery of Brussels. That is all.

I only can refrase that on my 4 different computers the videos are playing fine, so if there is anything not playing or it's showing the same video there is something wrong at your end. In your case it must be a cache thing, but don't ask me why, could be several things. Try to delete all cache (delete the windows/temp dir and IE cache, config DIVX not to cache or clear it) and start with the video which you haven't seen yet. If you have this problem at my site you probably have it elsewhere too...with divx...

Well, I guess I'm just not going to get to see the video. I have divx installed, cleared cache and cookies. When I click on your test link I get the Spyder video and when I click on your brussels link, I get the same Spyder video. I love the picture, it is great. Very crisp and clear. Maybe because I am running a Mac, I don't know. Like I said, I have the correct video software installed with the necessary plug-ins and cleared everything. Both links just bring up the same video for me. If anyone gets any other ideas, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks.

Ah, a Mac. Dumb question, but did you install divx for Mac? There is a seperate downloadlink just for Mac, maybe
you are running the windows plug-in on your Mac? (Don't know if that's possible but if, it could explain what you are experience...)

Try to look at the Triker video on another computer, it's worth it!
