• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HCM filter

have had an update notice for this filter for quite awhile, wife doesn't ride much but now has 4000 miles, going to bring it in for service am wondering if this new filter and housing is installed at no extra cost? and is it done automatically? Thanks for your reply. Larry

The old filter is no longer available. If you have your Spyder serviced, or purchase a BRP filter or oil change kit, you will receive the housing (for now) and longer filter automatically. Not sure if the revised body panel is still available, however.

UP Graded filter and Cover

Anyone know when the updated oil filter and case was automatically installed at service time?

Also will an RT filter fit an RS~S ??

The last HCM filter I bought did not have the new longer housing. But I am sure the dealer should have lots of spares that they should give you for free.

They started with the longer HCM filter sometime early last summer (I think). They are all the same RT or RS SE5's only!

My first oil change was done in June of 2012. I believe they put the new filters in my bike at that time.

Say some alien just landed and had no clue what you all were talking about....what would you tell him?

I just got a kit and it still has the replacement housing. I am sure that is all a mater of your dealers inventory but, it also indicates that BRP thinks everybody should have done an oil change by now and have the new parts.
