There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Has anyone with a 2024 Spyder RTL installed HeliBars?

I added Helibars to my '22. Easy install and a vast improvement over stock!!

you need to make sure they have updated due to the change of controls.

I emailed the Helibar corporate office & they said they will have an adaptor for their bars in a few weeks.

Adaptor for what? 2024 stock handle bars are the same as 2023 handle bars, so the Helibar should fit the same.

Edited: I apologize and stand corrected. The bars are not the same and your statement is accurate, thanks for pointing that out

When changing handlebars, there are two screws holding the left grip on. Don't ask how I know this; now I need a new left side heated grip!

I considered a Helibars, but for the expense , I decided to try the 2" riser first. It solved my reaching issues. Since the instal, I have over 5K miles. Very happy

Already have the 2" riser. Problem is not with the reach/Height adjustment, more to do with the lateral wrist angle

Perhaps a dumb question... but does this help with short folks, or tall folks?

Definitely NOT a dumb question, because you asked it, instead of just stewing over it without asking, which would've made it much closer to being a dumb question... :cautious:

But I hafta ask, which 'this' are you asking about, the Heli-bars, which allow for a wide range of adjustments in height, reach, and hand-grip angle; or the Risers that were mentioned in the couple of posts just before yours??

Risers tend to improve the reach &/or height of the grips for different riders; with some types ('dog-bone risers' is one name for these) often capable of being angled back or forward to shorten or lengthen the rider's reach to grab the handlebars, potentially lessening back, arm, &/or shoulder strain on the rider; or if they are just 'block' types, they add space below the handlebars when they're in the mount, making them higher & potentially lessening back, arm, &/or shoulder strain on the rider. (y)

Heli-bars allow you to adjust ALL the bar angles including grip/end; height; & wrist/forearm angles, as well as moving them forwards & backwards, improving reach; while Risers only lift or extend the base that the bars are mounted on upwards, forwards, or backwards, depending upon the type of Riser you select, thereby allowing adjustment in SOME of the bar angles, but not the angles of the grips on the end of the bars which allow changes to wrist & some forearm angles, which Heli-bars CAN adjust for! 😊

And as such, both Heli-bars AND Risers allow for handlebar adjustments that can suit either Short Folks, OR Tall Folks, depending upon which &/or which style/size of Risers you choose. Heli-bars do it all, and cost accordingly; Risers do some, or maybe just one - height, & generally cost accordingly. ;)

Help any??

Yes I have. It was much easier to install these on my 2024 than the triaxle bars on my 2014! The folks who produce the helibars are great to work with. When I attempted to purchase my bars, they weren’t available yet, so I ordered them and waited for them to be manufactured and delivered. The bars designed for 2023 WILL NOT FIT on the 2024 model due the alignment pin located in the cradle where the bars attach. Everything you need to install these bars are in the box except the tools, which are metric Allen and Tork wrenches. I highly recommend them; riding is much more comfortable and handling the Spyder is way easier because you’re able to apply pressure at the proper points for turning and maneuvering. Once you get them adjusted to you, there are 18 or so different adjustments you can make to dial them in for the perfect position, (I carry allen wrenches in my trunk so I can make fine adjustments while riding as needed), you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner. You’ll be much more comfortable and confident while riding.

I tried the risers on my 2020 RT-L, and while it did bring the handles to the right position, the angle just wasn't comfortable, so I bit the bullet and invested in the Helibars. Worth the cost, but probably not necessary for everyone.

Also, I later realized that the backrest (mine is aftermarket) pushes you forward a couple inches, so if I had it to do all over again, I would have started by at least testing that to see how it affected both the brake and the bars.
