• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone used the Trunk Popper?

BumbleBee

RT-S PE#0174
Does anyone have this?
Introducing the new Trunk Popper for the CAN-AM Spyder.
Now when you turn the key, the trunk will pop open, and stay open.
No more having to reach across your bike to open the trunk.
Fits the 08' and 09'.

Wondering if it is worth buying? Does it work?

Trunk Release

Try doing a search on this as there were others who had remiedies. I believe one is a .55 cent spring that you attach yourself and was easy to do.

I just did this to the trunk finally. I took a spring I found in the garage and used silicone to stick it to the trunk.

It works great.

The springer

After great demand, I am going to offer the springer kit. For only $25.95 + S&H I will send you one spring and a small tube of slightly used clear RTV silicon. Act now (Today only) and I will send you a spare spring!

Thats right, 2 springs for the price of one. We can also divide it into 4 equal payments of $10.00.

Hurry, this offer ends soon.

This mod works great and only cost me 50 cents! It should have been OEM! It fits perfectly down INSIDE so it's not visible like the other spring mods.

Wow!! That's a deal at twice the price..... Will you take a credit card?;)

I think BRP DID think of it but for some reason opted out. At the bottom of the latch assembly is a post just made to hold the spring... mine fit over it tightly, and works perfectly. I got an assorted spring bag at Home depot for $3, cut the one with the right diameter to 0.75" and voila, fit snug and perfect.

About 12 months ago I just adjusted the tension up a bit on the trunk pin and mine pops open every time - no spring needed.:2thumbs: I thought it may stop as the seals age or compress but so far so good.

Capt John

I bought the same spring. And your right it slips right on. What did you use or how did you secure it to the lid?

Thanks popboy:dontknow:

I used some silicone. Only had "white" from a former project. Hey, it's on the inside and can't be seen. I am so thrilled to not have to coordinate turning the key and lifting the lid!!

THANKS VOSSHOG for the FREE Spring!!!!!!!!!!
