• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone seen this??

The attached pic is of the left side of the engine on 2014 RT Ltd. Is is covered in oil and the two bottom screws have apparently had enough oil and other fluid mixed in for them to be covered in what looks like a chocolate milkshake. I would assume that the source of the leak is the large black Allen head plug in the center. Does this need to be tightened or sealed? Any ideas? Thanks!

Try this..

There is an o ring on this access cover. You could check to see if it is tight or just replace the o ring. Some of the 14's had a case cover bolt causing a oil leak you might check if that was taken care of. Oil leaks are hard to trace...

I know. The choco milk is never a good thing. I hope it is just water from the roadway that had mixed with the oil to make that concoction. I removed the large hex cap in the center of the cover, cleaned everything and put it back together with a little extra torque. Fingers crossed. The engine oil on the stick looks fine. I will be doing an oil change this week, so......time will tell.

Early in the 2014 model year; there was a recall for an oil leak. You might want to have your dealer take a closer look at this, and see if your bike is one of the unlucky ones...

I had the leak

I was one of the lucky ones with the leak. Apparently there was not enough locktite on the bolt from the factory, I would have just a tiny drip while riding. Dealer took care of as part of recall.
