• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone seen a diecast model of an RT yet?

Silly thing I know, but I try to keep a collection of models of my vehicles.
I even have one of my Snapper riding lawnmower. Looking for a model of an RT-S.
If anyone has seen one, I'd be happy to buy it.

Thanks in advance.

To the best of my knowledge, no one has even made a diecast SE5 or SM5. The closest is a Hot Wheels toy called 'Tri and Catch Me'. I've been looking, but gave up before Christmas, so if there's been a change, I'd be glad to know too.

Closet thing to the GS/RS is the Hot Wheels, available in either orange/silver or silver/gold. Haven't seen any actual Spyder scale models for GS/RS or RT.

I too would love a die-cast Spyder... along with a Remote-control toy version. Someone is missing the boat--- they could make some good $$$$ off of both!

I have the Hot Wheels version on my desk at work, but that's the only one I've seen yet. Will keep looking for you!

Here is one that I bought back in the summer of 2017 - I don't remember now if it was on Amazon or eBay. Maybe someone else that has one will remember where it came from. It was about the length and width of my hand. It had three little microcell batteries to power headlights, and it had wind up wheels, when you would roll it backwards and let go it would take off.

george123, you might have found it on Facebook, at least that's where I think I got mine.

No, I don't use Facebook , so it was either from Amazon, eBay, or maybe somebody had posted a link on Spyder Lovers to another site. I will keep looking to see if I can find where it came from.

Peter, I didn't even notice the date. It showed up on the page where new or most recent posts appear. If there was no new posts, how did it even show up here?

It wouldn't, and in fact, unless the server carrying the Forum platform was in the throes of going into some sort of catastrophic melt-down, it simply cannot! :lecturef_smilie:

However, there is ANOTHER old thread about these die-cast models that's been revived and is active right now, so I'd guess that you've seen that other thread after it was revived back in the end of August, then maybe gone to take pics of yours in order to respond; so you've looked up something like 'diecast', picked the first one in the results list, and so inadvertently selected & posted your post #6 into this older thread. :dontknow:

There's a few different variations of that 'guess', but like I said, unless the platform was actively melting down (and it wasn't/hasn't!) then your post has ended up in this thread due to something you did. ;)

No biggie tho, it's here now; and it's added juuust a little to the knowledge base about where people might've sourced their diecast models besides Can Am - and the other thread is discussing the models in the current Can Am Catalogue!

Here's the 'other' thread:
