• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone replaced their own Lock cylinders?

The Spyder could be more complicated than others I have done. I have not replaced a Spyder ignition, but I have replaced the ignitions on Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Harleys. With the ones I worked on you ordered the whole ignition with new keys. All the ones I changed were older, like pre-2005 motorcycles.

You should do some reading in the maintenence Manual and maybe it will give you some information.

I have also repaired some broken truck keys which the plastic head of the key broke into pieces and the coded disk fell out on the asphalt in a parking lot. It can be fixed for less than a 5 spot, but the dealers and the locksmiths prefer to sell you new ones for way more.

The only think I have done is replace a cable behind the Ignition switch, what a pain in the sack!!! Of course, I did it the hard way and didn't do my homework before jumping in the pool, came out bleeding like a stuck pig, but got it in. My suggestion to you is google it before you jump, or get the shop manual for your bike!!!

Good luck!

Ps: what are you trying to do?? Get extra keys the hard way, or do you have a bad cylinder?
