• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone ordered one of these key fobs?

Holy Crap.
Who would think a thread about the key would create this much attention.
Nevertheless, I'll add my two cents in.

This may, in fact, have been echoed by other posters, but this thread is getting too big to read.

The Spyder has a screwy security system which requires the ignition switch to read a chip in the key. There are all sorts of threads on the horrors of the DESS system.
Personally, I'm looking forward to the time it can be disabled.
So, despite the dangers of possibly drilling through the chip, or using a key cover with a ring:
Given the problems with DESS, it's probably not a good idea to have additional metal, such as other keys hanging off the ignition key that may interfere with the DESS antenna.
Further, when riding, if you have other keys hanging off the ignition, they just tend to scratch it up and make it look ugly.
So, in short, I'm very happy with the OEM sheath and find no difficulties using it at all.
