• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

Mine is "Mapley ( 2014RTS-SE6 cognac) looks like Medium Amber Maple Syrup, or" Let the Goods Times Roll" For obvious reasons. Deanna

Miss Pearl

I even kept the name after Sue Hopper painted the phoenix on her .... turns out, buried in my Thesaurus, I found out that "pearl" and "phoenix" are linked. See my Avatar for what she looked like before the artwork, and here is the frunk now:

That's one great looking trunk lid. Sorry, I don't use the 'f' word.

My Spyder's name

My 2012 RS SM5 is called "The Murder." A murder of crows is three and the Spyder has three wheels. It is black and capable of carrying you to the afterlife if you do not respect it.:doorag:

My wife calls her the other woman, in Spanish "La Chilla"

I went all out for originality, NOT! :roflblack: I call mine 'Nid. Should be obvious why! I never could come up with an appropriate name for my Goldwing so feel like I made some progress with 'Nid! It's short, not too terribly dorky, easy to say, pertinent, and doesn't get confused with anything else around the house! :)

So you obviously live in SOUTHERN Idaho. :hun:

O-SNAP!

Yes, O-SNAP! Because that's what I said when I saw her. This one looks like she's got attitude written all over. ;)

Bike names

I have always referred to all of my bikes as "her" or "she", but not an actual name. I guess it's because riding is like a special love affair that I have for all bikes past and present.

BTW, I just purchased my first Spyder, an F3 in red, I should be bringing it home on Friday and will post pics if I ever figure out how! I can't seem to find "New Thread", I can only reply at this time.

No name yet, but thinking about what would work for my wife and I. We have named most our other rides but have not hit on a name for the Spyder. Even though our GoldWing is actually colored "Pearescent Purple" we call her "blue", my wife's Saturn sky is just "Sky" (I know, really original) and the Ford Explorer Sport Track is just "the truck". We don't put a whole lot of thought into it usually so this is a struggle. I like names that are short and spot on, but so many apparent names that come to mind just don't cut it.

well, it finally hit me, while sneaking up on my wife earlier this evening and remembering when I used to sneak up on our kids when they were little. I would scare them with a creepy voice while reciting "the itsy bitsy Spyder crept up the water spout...." And my wife and I decided it fit. So the Spyder is named "Itsy Bitsy". End of discussion.
