• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NAME OF YOUR SPYDER
After reading another thread posting about naming your Spyder, I posted the following and thought in may be appropriate to re-post it in the GENERAL DISCUSSION AREA. I have started a list of the names of Spyders from this thread. If others would like to provide your Spyder names and reasons, I will keep it on an excel spreadsheet and make it available to those who may want it. You may either post it here or send me a PM with your info.

I call her "RedBird" 2012 RTS SE5 she flies through the wind.

The Tardis....after Dr. Who's Time And Relative Dimension In Space time machine/spacecraft, because it's blue, and we get younger every time we ryde it! (Well, we feel younger, anyway...) :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Frankensmurf

When I got the bike, since it is blue, the kids named it Pappa Smurf. When it blew up at mile 86 it got a new engine and instument cluster from the loaner RT we were given. Naturally this smurf is no longer natural, thus Frankensmurf was born.;)

I used to be more active on a women's motorcycle site, and was encouraged to name my Spyder. So I named it "Dudley" (a la Dudley Dooright) because its Canadian and has a red coat.

But the Spyder is really more sophisticated than that character, so I'm thinking of changing to something else. I just haven't come up with anything yet.
Thank You - Your Spyder name has been logged into my excel database. I will make it available later when it appears the interest has stopped.

Harvey,
What will we have to do if our Spyder needs to go into the "Witness Protection and Relocation" program? :roflblack:

It will be MORPHED into a GOLDWING as a cycle with no name. Now GW owners, I am not bashing you, I had a GW too. It is meant as humor....

We call her "Honeymoon" (NO kids allowed) - just "Honey" for short which fits with her gold color. Love our new 2013 Spyder RT

Spyder Names

I am the proud owner of a 2010 RT-AC SE-5 (with farkles of course) in orbital blue. Her name is Smurfette, because I've collected the Smurfs for over 30 years! Oh yeah.... I got new license plates for her too... (GOS, stands for Girls On Spyders ;) )
