Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

We have a lot of riders out here, a lot of MC,s and I belong to both the ALR and the VFWR so mine is seen often. What I'm encountering of late is a fair amount of attention from some pretty hard core bikers who have taken notice in a positive way. For example, when out in Laughlin I had an old Harley dude sizing up my RS, came over asked a bunch of questions mostly about performance, turns to me and says 'its cute' [now I've heard this before, didn't bother me] then as he's walking away turns and replies 'but I like it'.

A few guys at Darrell's work own Harley's & Honda's and refer to our spyder as "Perverted"

we are always asked "What is it?" "Where did you get it?"

As I approached she smiles and asks me if this is my bike. I replied yes and she turns back to look at the RT and said that it was the "sexiest" thing she had seen in a long time.

I walked over. looked at her and then at the trike, and informed her that since I had just finished waxing the Spyder all she was seeing was a direct reflection of herself in the plastic. The first time I had actually observed someone titter. Definitely a priceless moment for me. Sure beats the standard snowmobile on wheels that I often get!

I had to grit my teeth today when a lady said "Is that your buggy" I said Yes but It's a Spyder.

Was having coffee with a couple of my buds in walks a lady sits down at a table across from us and asks who's bike is that out there Of course I say it's mine and she tells me that it's very cute, I thanked her But also added do you know how much Grief Well I really said S**t I'm now gonna get from these two guy because you called my bike cute. She said sorry but She still thought it was cute.:banghead:

I get it all, mainly at work..... trike, backwards tricycle, scooter. Even heard Transformer a few times. But it doesn't bother me. I got what I wanted, and I'm not a follower.... I'm a LEADER. All of the two-wheeled folks have asked me to join this club or that club. I say, "I'm waiting on a Spyder Club to form around here". I have started to see more & more Spyders in the area. Not the "new kid" on the block anymore!:doorag:

Spyder Name

Does your Spyder have a name? If so what is it and why?

I call my Spyder Billie, because when I first saw her I thought of a bullet, which lead me to The Legend Billie Jean (I am showing my age, I know).

OK so my embarrassing truth is out there, what is your story/name?

I refer to mine as the convertible, because it is topless and I told my wife when it goes I am going to a convertible.

Its name be " Iron Horse " Why, well it got me home after a long trip doing the spyder triangle.

I call mine "Shadow". It's graphite, the subtle gray/silver color changes as the light does and it mysteriously keeps calling and taunting me to go for a ryde.

Mine is RumbleBee! Stole it from dodge truck. Figured it was a good name since its black and yellow and has rumbles with the two bros dual exhaust.

I had that name on other car forums and
just carried it with me. And the rest of the s t o r y ...

It got to the point where I was being stalked
by TMZ and accused of things that were not true.

60 minutes did a piece on me...................

I even had a fan club......................and i would get mobbed where ever I went.

I was written up lots of times

Life got to be hectic and I was always being

harassed, so I sold my ride to a sheikh in Dubai,

and got a spyder because it looked very inconspicuous.

and now I have my new ride and no fan club.......................life is good. My wife loves me and always is giving me two thumbs up:2thumbs:

....................She understands that it was a national Fan Club and
with that I occasionally get asked to have a picture taken with, that's OK
but please no autographs.

I am still occasionaly being stalked.......................



Nowadays I am more often on the other side of the camera,
and others are caught in precarious situations :shocked: But that's for another story..............Right Kurt?
