NAME OF YOUR SPYDER

After reading another thread posting about naming your Spyder, I posted the following and thought in may be appropriate to re-post it in the GENERAL DISCUSSION AREA. I have started a list of the names of Spyders from this thread. If others would like to provide your Spyder names and reasons, I will keep it on an excel spreadsheet and make it available to those who may want it. You may either post it here or send me a PM with your info. ​

You can look up Thingfish on Wikipedia for a detailed account of how Thingfish evolved but suffice it to say, Thingfish was a musical conceived by none other than Frank Zappa yet when I think of Thingfish I think about songs like the torchum never stops, that evil Prince and you are what you is sung mostly by Ike Willis. Yes!, that Ike Willis of fame who sang w/Zapoa’s band for 10 years. Ike Willis is written about in Wikipedia as well

I’m not sure how many Zappa fans hang out here on this forum but if you’re familiar with Ike and that opera AKA Thingfish, then you can begin to appreciate my musical tastes

Never named any of them. Had motorcycles since about 1962, lots of them, and every one of them has been known as "The Scooter".

Got a dog that does have a name, because the vet had to have a name on her records. I don't remember what the name is. I just say, "Hey dog, come here." She don't care what you call her. She don't speak people talk.

Her name is Alannah (Black Velvet if you please...)

I know I'm a dork (not telling me anything new lol) but I love the idea because she is such a great artist. Originally from Canada too so that also fits. The Black Velvet theme will be carried across the bike. Matte dark-colored finishes with texture.

About a week after I bought my F3 this spring, I told the wife "I think I'm going for a ride on the thing." Light bulb went off and I named it "The Thing". One of my favorite Marvel characters from when I was a kid, and also the sci-fi monster.
