• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

What have you named you beloved Spyders?

Happy to be back in the game here. Had a 2012 RTL but sold it and went two wheeling again for a bit, but am glad to be back with an F3S. We named our RT "Spyke" and had a liscense tag to match. Really courous what some of you have named yours? Thanks for sharing and welcoming us back!

I have been building cars/motorcycles for 40 years and have had so many toys of said vehicles I could not possibly remember them all. I have always thought it strange when humans name there cars bikes etc.
Well who new.......
I had to give up motorcycling after 40+ years because of complications from cancer.
Along came the Spyder and for the first time I gave a name to a vehicle. I named it the Pheonix as it brought me up and out of the ashes and back into the wind.
I bought it May 16th of last year and put 12,400 miles on it in 7 months of pretty much local New England riding.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. 😆

We called our 2010 RT "Fawkes", for similar reasons...

I only name animate things not inanimate things. Inanimate things have no soul, no heart, cannot feel, hear see or speak. I have never felt warm and fuzzy about things that are not warm and fuzzy. :sour:

We had a 4x4 we called "Tarzan" and we have a pontoon boat we call "Georgie Girl". We are in the process of negotiating the purchase of our first Spyder (2014 RT Limited SE6).:2excited: Trying to figure out a name for the new toy.

What did you name your Spyder and why? Thanks ya'll.

? Next thing you know Spyder riders will be driving around with teddy bears on there trunk like the Gold Wingers do. What is this world coming to? Name your Spyder?

I do respect you opinions and willings to express them, just hope these first two responses don't throw a wet blanket on the thread. Only looking to have fun here and not get into odd debates. Didn't expect this here.

Be blessed

Well shoot Bob maybe I should reconsider and name mine "Snickers" or "Tired Butt" or "Skinned Knuckles". I did have a horse named "Damn It' and a Dog named "D-O-G" you have to spell it quickly to get the full meaning. He fell off my Harley once doing about 90 and after that we just called him "Hairless Harry".

You have to expect stuff on here. Let it bounce off and journey on. My RS-S is called Angelia. Any thing that hauls my butt over this great Country (with free speech) will get a name.

That's funny. :clap::thumbup:

May not be "on point", but his first name, reminds me of the dyslexic agnostic who had lost faith in his dog.

First the first eight years of my existence; I was SURE that "Dammit" was my first name...
I would have gotten along well with your horse... :D
