• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

a spyder being registered as a car. i have a lady friend in ohio and she said she read somewhere that it can be registered as a car and no motorcycle license required. i told her that she is wrong and it is a bike but i also said i would ask.

That sounds a bit strange. I can believe the part about not needing a motorcycle endorsement or license, but I don't see how the :ani29: would be considered a car.

There may be a different argument if one was trying to register a Slingshot. :roflblack::roflblack:

Not Likely...

could it be a mix up with the fact that some states don't require a motorcycle licence. This could lead folks to think it is registered as a car. Spyder meets way less spec's rquired than the slingshot and it is having problems...:dontknow:

Could never pass as a car without air bags, seat belts, safety glass and all the other good stuff mandated by federal and state governments.

Hey cuznjohn, I think your lady friend in Ohio has been indoors for winter too long and needs to get outside and some fresh air. there is no possible way that any Spyder could be registered as a car in any State in America. I can't speak for any other foreign country though.. Just my two cents.
THE BIG F

i told her the same thing, i also told her to take the test on a spyder and that it would be easy. but i can't really tell her she is nuts because she comes to stay with me a few times a year

:agree: Don't try telling her that she's nuts...
You've got to know which side of your bread is getting buttered; right? :D

Here is crazy

The state of California does NOT consider it a motorcycle and you DO NOT need a motorcycle license to ride one
however you do have to use a helmet, it does have motorcycle plates on it and your auto Ins. insures it as a motorcycle
?????????
