Google found something that I find interesting.
The BRP GO! app is your ultimate companion for all things vehicle info about your electric motorcycle or 3-wheel vehicle.

In the past, The section near the bottom of the page titled:
THE BRP GO! APP CAN BE USED ON WHICH VEHICLE DISPLAYS?
It used to say that it didn't work on the 10.25" displays of 3-wheel vehicles, and only worked on the 7.8" displays of the 3-wheel vehicles.
Now it says it works on the 10.25" displays of 3-wheel vehicles.
I looked at several of the links related to using the BRP GO! app for navigation and route planning, and you're right, it's all done within the app.
I think I'll stick with Apple CarPlay on my Spyder.
I use the Google Maps application that I downloaded to my computer. You can enter stop and start locations, and it plots a route, and then you can drag-and-drop the route to customize the route. I can also tell it to avoid highways, tolls, and ferrys and it will adjust the route automatically.
And then I can sync the route to my iPhone, which then shows up on my Spyder display or on my Honda Ridgeline's dash if I'm driving it.
