Has anyone done this mod????

On a GS/RS with Givi bags it is a must that the left bracket come off to get the left panel off. the plastic will not clear the metal round tubing the bag mount is made of.
believe me if it would clear I would not remove it.

Sorry, I was thinking RT when you said saddlebags. You are right, of course. That panel for the turn signal extension is a pain. After removing the bags and racks (if BRP bags) drop the fender underpanel, remove the left bracket bolts, then remove the body panel. If you have the GIVI racks it is considerably more difficult. Accessories always seem to complicate matters.

Dave, I feel your pain! I've got Corbin bags and battery access is a serious PITA! I replaced mine with Lithium soon after buying my Spyder and I keep a trickle charger on it while parked, so I don't expect to have to make that venture for a while. But I must admit I spewed the same rant as you at the time. I have considered moving my battery to the Corbin bag using a jet ski battery holder, Goldwing battery box (saw one on Ebay for $12), or maybe even better...there is a nice selection of trailer battery boxes (for electric brakes) available that could work nicely. Zeus clips would be the answer for those without bags, but the bags make it a whole different nightmare! P.S. As suggested use stupid-heavy cable when running power any distance! :thumbup: Dan

Loss of power

This might not be what your looking for but this weekend I had the same issue. Battery dead after driving it 20 miles. Well thats what I thought it was, it now turns out to be the terminal post under the seat next to the fuses was just a tad bit loose,
