• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

harmonic noise on our Spyder

We've owned our 2008 Spyder since last May, and we've always had a harmonic noise at about 19-21 mph.

When we took it to the dealer for the first oil change, we mentioned it and asked them to check it out and fix it. They pretty much said it wasn't a problem and not to worry about it.

Well, we are worrying about it. We have a friend that bought the same model Spyder as us, and he doesn't have the problem.

We'd like to know if any other owners are having this problem, and if so, what caused the problem? We'd like some 'ammunition' to go back to the dealer to get it fixed.
We want to make sure it'll get covered under the warranty as we shouldn't be having this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you from Iowa? I have military friends from there with the @mchsi.com address...then again, might be purely a coincidence...however, since you call yourself IronGeneral, thought I'd ask...

Mine had it for awhile.
It went away after awhile. I now have 18 kk, no issues

Have the drive belt adjusted to the low end of the BRP tolerance. It fixed mine. And, it's probably better for your rear wheel bearings.

What those guys said...LOL...I know nothing about it but I wanted to say welcome and you have some great guys here with great advice.

I've never gone that slow on mine :D - but I would also think the problem is with the belt tension.
