• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Harley Spyder

The HD website shows the 2011 TriGlide listing for around $28K and the 2012 listing for about $3K more. That dealer must not be having any trouble moving bikes if his mark-up is that huge!

I've been pricing the TriGlide , Out the door 31/32.

I am thinking that BMW--if they made a trike--would not cost that much more.

The cycle mags have been testing the new BMW 1600 GTL. This is 1600 cc six cylinder engine.

They have all the bells and whistles of a Wing, premium package for $26K and are claiming 50 mpg at 55 mph.

That kind of a package with the necessary goodies to make it a 3 wheeler--I'm guessing $30-32? BUT----I'm just guessing.

And your mileage would go down the drain with the added weight and dragging of a 3rd wheel.

Agree, miles per gallon would go down with a 3rd wheel---and--who is going to drive it 55 mph anyway--not me.

And yes--:agree: if they engineered it--they would have enough "wunderbar--fulness" to probably get it up higher than I originally guessed.

The HD dealer here in town is pretty proud of his products. He has both a military and retired community to market. Most folks who have ridden more than a few months buy their HD's in Columbia South Carolina and save the cost of avarice. In general I have found that folks new to thrikes coming off of HD's don't even shop around or look at other products since all of their friends ride HD's. I speak from experience. I rode Harley's for the last 35 years (with a few BMW and Moto Guzzi's) and went through a lot of good natured grief when I showed up at my Club Meeting on a :spyder2: that was described as a Snow Mobile! Thirty miles later they were all struggling to keep up. Anyway you ride what you got and you ride your own ride!:ohyea:
