• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hard starting ECM update and Display lighting Update

I went to the dealer to get the front tires balanced and asked them to do the update for the hard starting (on a 21 RT) and the display lighting update. The dealer said the updates were all optional and they charged ($70) 1/2 hour labor and a 1/2 hour ($70) for the balancing for the tires. I thought the hard start update would have been covered under warranty. The display update maybe a charge. Anyone else get charged for the updates?

If this is the one that they did, then it is a warranty campaign. The dealer should not charge you for this since they can submit a warranty claim to BRP. The display update is an optional update. So, it all depends on what and how you were charged for getting the two updates at the same time. He had to charge you for one of them. This update is worth 0.3 hours alone. It's possible that the 1/2 hour was to cover only the display update, and he just mis-spoke.

I am not complaining about the charge. But I don't think I will bring it back to them. The service manager thought I was bringing a 2021 Rt for the pulley replacment, I had to explain to him It was mainly for the F3's not the 2021 RT's.
