• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Happy to Sad in less than 30 min with my new limited

Thanks again. Nice to part of a group that had such fast responses. Husband is just called and is leaving the shop on the :spyder2:. They say it was the conntections. He has 1hr 15min ride home and it's to start raining in 1 hour :yikes:. He was really hoping not to get caught in it since this is his first ride on the bike. Keeping fingers crossed he makes it without getting stuck in the rain or along side the road again.

Thanks again!! Can't wait to put some miles on!!
What connections, battery?

The RT test ride requirement expired last Fall. It is impractical in the northern climates in the winter. It has not been reinstated. Loose (or improperly prepped batteries are the dealer's responsibility.

When I picked up my bike from the shop last week therewas a note on one of the new :spyder2: on the floor HAS NOT BEEN TEST DRIVEN. No mistakes that way.

Interesting...when I got my bike now a couple of years ago, I had to test drive it for a while before signing for it...this was a pretty good idea, I guess...they actually had me ride it in a gravel parking lot to get a feel for the traction control...neat way to learn...bike handled great, obviously...hope it always does...

dps limp home

I received my rts spyder, made it seven miles untill the dps limp home light came on. I took it back to the dealer they said they entered the wrong codes into the program. I hauled it home 139 miles one way, rode it nine miles the next chance i got and the same light came on. The dealer picked it up and took a new computer off of a bike still in the crate to get me back on the road quickly.
I havn't had any trouble since, took it back for my 600 mile check up and the dealer told me they now are supposed to drive them 11 miles before the new owner picks it up.
The dealer is Teds Motorecycle World in Alton Ill. I couldn't be happier with them.
