• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Happy Birthday to Our Eponymous Member

A VERY HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU MY VERY GOOD FRIEND. Sorry I'm a day late, we went to Copper Harbor, MI. to see what the trees look like before they change into their fall colors. As far as SS goes, the retirement makes up a lot for lower pay.

Belated Birthday Wishes

There has to be one in every crowd that gets to the party late. Hope it was a Happy 60th. Are you recovering from BACONITIS?? Hope to see your @SpyderFest 2017. Try not to talk Linda into spending too much money.
Mike

Hey Bob, Happy Birthday a day late. I was thinking of you this morning when my sister gave two packages of bacon. They just butchered a hog. I will think of you as I enjoy each bite.

What does roflblack mean.

It's the text name of this smilie: :roflblack: In case you don't see it, it's an image of a little guy rolling on the floor and laughing.

Smilie text names are automatically converted to images in the forum software. (I don't think you can turn that off in settings.) But I've never used Tapatalk so I don't know if there might be an option there to turn images and smilies on/off in message displays.

I think that you can toggle back and forth: try playing around with the button that I've tried to circle. :D

That's an editing tool that enables you to draft a message in "source mode" rather than "WYSIWYG mode". It wouldn't effect how a user sees someone else's message. I think what cphilipsea1 is seeing is a Tapatalk issue, but I can't be sure, since I don't use Tapatalk. There may be a setting there. If there was a setting in the forum software, you'd think it would be under "Settings --> Profile --> General Settings", and I don't see anything there (or anywhere else). :dontknow:

 I just know that if I throw on of "Our little buddies" on the screen, and toggle that button back and forth: it makes them disappear! :yikes:

Happy belated birthday, Bob! Watch for a horse trailer to pull up in your driveway. I've sent you a hog on the hoof and instructions on how to make your own bacon. Enjoy!
