Yes it is a good day for a Birthday, cause it's also my wife's birthday, so I will ever forget. So did you retire today. People say I should start collecting SS, what do ya think.

I am waiting until June 2018 so my wife can retire at the same time. I have to say it's great turning 65 as I no longer have to worry about losing my job, and I can use Medicare now.
As for collecting SS it all comes down to how long do you plan to live. The longer you live it's better to wait and get the higher monthly payout.

RE: SS The actuaries have it figured out. They pretty much know when a persons time is going to be up. Whether you take it early and get the lower payment or take it later and get the higher payment, you will end up with pretty much the same amount when its time to leave. You can't even beat the system when checking out. :roflblack::roflblack:
