A day like today, one year ago, I took delivery of my dear RoSanna (RS), and like in any other new relationship, that day we started the exciting process of getting to know each other.
It took me a few hundred miles to understand her. This was no first-sight-love-affair for me, I had deliberately picked her out to ease my come-back to an activity I had relinquished 14 years ago.
Being no spring-chicken, I was also pretty much set in my two-wheels ways and at that time, RoSanna sure acted and felt very different to the "norm". Doubts arose, but I persisted. This was a relation I was going to make work.
One of the first thing I did at the time was joining this great Forum. In it, I've found encouraging words of wisdom, all the answers to my questions, a lot of useful info, and many great gals and guys whom today I can call friends.
A year later, RoSanna and I have ridden over fifteen thousand miles together. She has provided me with the opportunity (and excuse) to travel to many great places, in this wonderful country of ours, that I would not have known if not for her. I've been hot and cold, rested and tired, satisfied and thirsty, stressed and relaxed on her. But always thankful and very, very happy.
RoSanna improved my life even further, I am one lucky SOB, and I wanted to share it with the group and thank you all as well.
I hope we have many thousand of wonderful and safe miles to ride together.
Cheers
