• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Happy Anniversary email from BRP

I bought a new 2024 Spyder RT from my local dealer back at the beginning of September THIS YEAR! Yesterday I received an email from BRP congratulating me on one year of Spyder ownership. Is this typical of BRP? Or should I be concerned about my warranty?

Okay, to make it abundantly clear: I have owned my first and only Can-Am product, this 2024 Spyder RTL, for TWO MONTHS. BRP apparently thinks I've owned it for ONE YEAR. Should I be concerned? Or, is this the kind of thing that one should expect from BRP and it doesn't really matter?

At this point, for me, I'd be happy to hear anything from them. At least that would show me that they know who I am and that I bought one of their products. Don't worry, be happy.

It's a week shy of 8 months since I bought my Spyder, so I should expect the one year letter in about 4 months? :ohyea:

You’re on the mailing list now. Peace of mind, double check what papers you & your dealer have for typos; other than that email possibly being just spam...

Y'all are lucky. BRP recall finder doesn't even recognize my VIN. 2019 RTL... so I don't even know my recall status.

3 Spyders in and crickets from BRP.
Some folks have all the luck.
I guess they are pretty busy with their ambassadors to care about the folks who keep their wheels turning.

Are you sure it was from BRP, they didn't say anything about buying an extended warranty, did they? There's a lot of scammers out there!

I bought my current Spyder brand new last year (end of May). I didn't get anything from BRP in the mail or via email saying Congrats or anything about the Warranty.

The above is the 3rd :spyder2: that I've owned.

I received the same promo you are referring to. It is an option up to the time of end of warranty to extend your coverage. It is the same coverage as the original I was told. Bottom line you can call any helpful dealer with your VIN and they will be able to look up when your warranty started and the day it ends. In doing this I actually found out they had a PROMO when I purchased mine and I was given an extra year of warranty coverage for a total of 3 years. Very Nice Can Am and many thanks. I will say it is deceptive for Can Am to say your coverage is running out soon. Mine definitely isn't.
