• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Handling 2010 RT vs 2015 RTS?

Ok my 2010 blue Spyder I have a set of 2012 front shocks. Cowtown set them to the stiffest settings as my tool wouldn't do it. I also have Baja Ron's sway bar installed on the 2010 along with the links.

On the 2015, Cowtown installed the Fox front shocks, that I had bought for the 2010, on the 2015 white RTS. I also installed Baja Ron's sway bar and links.

I think the suspension on the 2015 still feels a bit mushy and I don't have confidence when driving it in the twisties as I do with the blue Spyder. I realized this when I was up on the Dragon several months ago as I was going slow in the turns and getting frustrated. I knew I could go faster in the turns in my Tundra truck or my 2010 Spyder than I was able to do on the 2015 Spyder!

I had both bikes in the garage next to each other and noticed that the grips were wider on the 2010 than the 2015. I'm figuring more leverage when turning?

Does anyone feel the same about the suspension on the new bikes? Is it softer?

I haven't played with that switch for the suspension much. Not sure if it will change things? May have to try that when the pavement is dry here. It just changes the air shock thing under the seat.

YOUR CHANGES

... The 15 is slightly heavier than your 10, but not much....the balance is slightly different , but also not much........The Fox shocks must fit because I can't imagine in my wildest dreams that COWTOWN would put them on your 15 if they shouldn't be able to work !!!!!............Are the tires on both the same....and have they both been ALIGNED the same way ( ROLO LAZER ) ??????..............Mike

BRP still calibrates the front suspensions for a cushy ride.
If you were to add either a set of stiffer springs, or at least a set of preload adjusters; you might find that the 2015 will "turn and burn" with the best of them.
(I'm not familiar with the springs that are used with the foxes...)
My 2010 RT had a set of Elkas, and Ron's anti-way-bar. It really handled about like a slot car on steroids. My 2014 with just a set of Ron's preload adjusters, is about 90% as good as the heavily-modified 2010. However, it retains a smooth and supple ride. :D

The fox shocks that came on my F3 were about 2 inches shorter than the stock shocks on my friends 2015 RT. His mushy feel was cured with the Ron sway bar. In your case I would set the pre load on the front shocks a bit higher and that should take care of your issue.

:agree: After looking them up in the accessories catalog; the Fox shocks do come with pre-load adjustments.
Try cranking them, and see if it helps!

My 2010 wobbled really bad when I first got it.
2011 shocks and the RonBar made the ride pretty good.

My 2014 handled much better right out of the box. Nevertheless, I found that riding two up, with my 165 lb girlfriend, the suspension needed a little help. Again, the RonBar came to the rescue. I had it installed at SpyderQuest.
This summer, I'll have the RonBar and a smaller girlfriend (or none at all). I expect the Spyder will handle well.
I am surprised you think the front end is still mushy with the Fox Shocks and RonBar installed.
