Handlebar setback options

I just bought an 08 GS. Am told the handlebars have been set back but I'd like them back even more. Ideally so I'm able to sit without leaning forward at all like an RT. Is that doable?

We have the HeliBar risers on our 08. Moves it 4" back and 1" up, still using the stock cables although I had to cut a few of the factory zip ties to get additional slack.

I cut the dash and installed Moose Racing high rise ATV bars, only cost $45.

Anything is doable. I saw one where the BRP handlebars were removed and a standard motorcycle handlebars were installed. That way if you need to sell it, you have the BRP handle to set it back to stock. This is very doable and it looked cool.

Cutting Habdlebar Cover on 2012 RSS

Has anyone done this on 2012 RSS. PICTURES?

id like to just put RT bars on my GS but you would have to replace most of the cables/lines. With the revco risers i have on they are at their limit.
