• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Handlebar rotation?

Still trying to get comfortable......Is it possible to rotate the F3 stock bars up and away a bit without impacting anything?

Pete

Good question Pete I have the opposite problem SHORT was thinking if they were down just a bit they may be better, they may have a lock pin other than that I don't see why not I may try it tomorrow as it's suppose to rain all day.

Interesting. ...

They should be movable but you would also have to watch the lock pin on the hadlebar controls. Depending on how much you rotate you may have to make a new hole...:dontknow:

Yes you can rotate them up or down no problem that's why they say user fit, I lowered mine to suit me just make sure you tighten the cap screws tight.
You need a 7mm hex socket or key, long as they are very tight to undo.

Thanks Bruce......it's just that all my socket kits go from 6mm to 8mm, so I thought I'd check before I head into town to buy another kit 😜😆😆

Yep that's right for some reason they don't have a 7mm in most sets I had to buy a single one but my 3/8 drive hex socket set has them all.

Handlebars rotated.

OK.....handlebars rotated forward and up......I reckon I got about 2" up and 2" forward. Unfortunately there is no easy way to rotate the switch blocks due to the seating nipple, but with no clutch and brake lever that's definitely not a biggie.

I rotated mine about that amount but found that it blocked out my mirrors so I had to put them back.

I'd just grind that nipple off... nojoke
If you keep the screws tight: nothing will spin on the bars.

Thanks Bob.....The switches still fall pretty much to hand in the new position, but I'll see how they go on a longer trip and grind the nipple off if it doesn't work.

.......one of the advantages of being 6'7", minister.......I can see over the top of the bars to the mirrors

You guys adjusting the bars. What is the torque for the bolts? Thinking of adjusting mine also. Tom :spyder:

I just tightened them to about the same pressure it took to release them, Tom. I only had to unfasten the top two......mine are 7mm.

I wonder what the torque should be on the left hand bolt now that I have a longer bolt going through Lamonts power plate and spacer and then through the Garmin mount? :dontknow: Luckily, I can reach the front guards with my feet, so if the bars come off in my hands I will still have steering.
