• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Handlebar riser question

What's to stop a Guy from making another spacer, say 1 1/2", and putting it under the BRP 1" spacer for a total of a 2 1/2" Spacer?
I'm a toolmaker and haven't yet taken my 2009 GS apart to look at the situation yet.
Thanks,

Nothing....

I think they have 4" risers. The only issue is the length of the cables and you have to get under the Tupperware to release some zip ties to get more cable length...

You can go more

I have the 4 1/2 inch Heli Bars riser in addition to the BRP
1 in. BRP one, works great you have plenty of cable and
wire just clip off the wire ties.

Thanks!

Thanks for your input.😜
The reason I am asking is that I have a new 1" BRP Riser that I got with some other parts.
i was wondering about a cost effective,(FREE!) to add a bit more than just the 1" by putting a spacer block under the BRP Spacer.
By the way, Thanks Dave for helping me get my Sena up an working😃

Not a thing stopping you. My dealer made some 3" risers for the 2008/2009 GS/RS versions. I beta tested the first one and bought a second one for my 2009. Worked fine and they brought us up out of the crotch rocket sitting position.

Easy

Swap out the handlebars. PM machine gunner. Ron had a great set on his old bike, the rise/run was perfect!
