• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

please give input on kewl metal bars vs. no magic risers??? :dontknow: :hun: :dontknow::dontknow: thnx, rich

I can't say either way on the No Magic risers but I just installed the 5" kewlmetal risers and i love it. Definately a better riding position.

I have the NMN risers, 3" plus the BRP 1" and I love them. I have only sat on a bike with the Kewl Metal bars, not sure which rise though. I also sat on the Corbin display bike with the Helibar riser. All three of them felt like a better riding position than stock for me. It comes down to personal preference in the end, like all mods. I think the most flexibility exits in the NMN risers due to the fact that you can adjust them more upright or more toward the body of the rider as you deem comfortable for yourself and you get to keep the stock center plate. For me that was important, I have a Premier Edition Spyder and I wanted to keep that. You also keep the stock plate with the Helibar but it is one position and if it's not quite right, then you are stuck with it. They did add a power outlet and a ram mount though. Of course NMN has ram mounts to offer now as well that work with his new bar set up. KewlMetal has different size risers to fit the different needs and can make a plate that fits his bars that has the Premier Edition number on it if you would like. Also, he has the ability to mount a number of various things to his center plate. I think you have to figure out which "look" you like the best and what your needs are going to be. I love my NMN risers and they are my best mod to date and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

kewl 100%

I installed the kewl 5" with the console and love them. you have the option to change the enlay, gps, phone, ipod and cup holder mounts. the spyder handles great. no more back hurting after hour of riding or knumbness in my hands. Matt you did a great job with this mod!!!

Also remember the bars can be adjusted back and forth to suit the individual rider. And the Kewlmetal center console allows the use of many different handle bars if you find a set you like better than what we are already making.

thnx 4 everybodies input. i think i'm sold on the kewl bars, but they seem so thin! whats the tube diameter??? i like the center console gps attachment feature etc. can u use the original grips off the factory bars,or have 2 replace them??? rich

I ordered the NMN 4" risers the day I ordered my Spyder (plus a taller NMN windshield). I took delivery of my Spyder on Oct. 11th and have ridden it about 200 miles without the risers. I'm not a real experienced rider, but it's very tough on my skinny old arms and wrists!

My husband is in the process of installing the NMN risers on my bike and will probably finish them up tomorrow. I only got to sit on my bike for a few minutes to see how it felt, but I'M IN LOVE ALREADY! :2thumbs: It feels so much better to sit upright and not lean on my hands and wrists! I even like the way they look!

Now I'm hoping winter doesn't come TOO fast so I can get in a couple more rides before it gets too cold!
