• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Handle Bar Risers

I am considering getting Handle Bar Risers. From what I have heard they make it more comfortable because you don't have to lean up to reach the handle bars. Does anyone know what kind is best and if you can install them yourself or if it is better to get the Dealer to do it?:spyder2:

Type handlebar risers into the search box and you will have all the choices and how to advice to make a decision.

If you get the ESI risers I can install them for you. :doorag:

Just bring Raccoon food and promise not to walk on his pool. :D

Lucky Guy... I wrench on my own stuff for the most part, but would love to spend a day with Lamont taking stuff apart as I'd learn far more than I started the day with... *Even if I knew what I was doing.

I'll stop kissing up now... Great opportunity, and a very generous offer.

I have 3s...and I think the BRP riser is still on there...would haveta check...

Take lamont up on his offer...this, alone, is a BIG savings and a HUGE help!

Do you have pictures?

Looks way better in person. No need to cut the stock bars and it solved my burning shoulder issues.

And I added the powerlet option here:

I have pics somewhere of the full install.

Pros:
- no cutting of stock bars - easy to go back to old setup or try new one.
- Keeps stock "look"

Cons:

- Not adjustable... Though that has not bothered me a bit. I'm 6'2".
- Can't use can am tank bag with these as they move the whole handle bar unit back 4.5 inches (and up 1 inch ). Not a big deal for me.
- More expensive than other risers, but you are paying for the look in this case.

To each their own as they say. I rode Forest's spyder when I was in Florida. His risers which I believe were the ESI were pretty comfy too.

I like the look of all the above mentioned risers, but my credit card frowned on them. I went with the 3" riser from Spyder City and it took care of the the "leaning forward on my hands" issue. I should have done it a long time ago.
