• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

could someone tell me if any one make direct fit handgrips for the spyder. or get me a step by step on how to put on any kuryakn grips alone with what items i need and size of grips. thank you.:b2b:

Hey, I know alot of people have the kuryakyn grips and you need to get the Kuryakyn Universal ISO-Grips for 7/8" handle bars. Some people say they put tape on the bars before installing the grips. that makes the grips tighter. You also need adhesive. Check that out.

I have the Kuryakyn Iso grips (7/8"). Easy install. I did need to tape the left bar a little (electrical tape) and used a little glue on that side. The right side was simply removing the old grip and sliding the new one on. No glue needed.

JUST ORDER TALON

I JUST ORDER THE TALON 3300P ALARM, HEY MY WIFE BOUGHT ME A SPYDER PATCH AND HENLY FOR CHRISTMAS ALONG WITH SOME OTHER GIFT, MAN SHE IS SWEET.

Why the alarm? There is no market for parts on a Spyder being they're all under warranty...

In addition, the bike has a great security system...no key, no start...same as your higher end cars.

Just curious...

Tell that to the people who had theirs stolen while at a hotel earlier this year. I believe it was 2 spyder stolen from the parking lot in front of their room.

As for the great security system NO security system is flawless give it time and thieves will hae a way to disable the chip and ride off with your spyder.

Sorry this is just my opinion but I also live in a HIGH crime town were i have seen all types of cars stolen including those with chips in the key. so any extra security is a plus in my book!

hi bone crusher

i ust wanted added extra security its always a deterant. i do understand that if a thief wants something he will find a way to get no matter what. i just want to make it a little harder. besides it will keep the curious from sit on it, ie kids etc... thanks

ebay hids

i saw several seller on ebay offering the Xenon hids for spyder that plug and play with the same warranty that nmn have. but from $100.00 to 250.00 cheaper. has a nyone tried them yet? how about you Lamonster? i just went to ebay and put in xenon kit for spyder complete. every one that i call that selling say thier kit is complete with two ballasts for spyder. the lowest price is about 70.00 incl shipping and handling. hey im not crazy but i do want to save a buck or 3.:chat:nojoke

Read this post and this post and this one and finally this one.

As you can see by the date of these older threads, this stuff happened a little while back. Maybe the eBay dealer you are looking at has his act together and will sell you a good product. You'll also read that one or two people either got what they needed to make it work at a low price or had enough knowledge to make a car HID setup work on their Spyder. As they say, if its too good to be true, it probably is.

they work

the hids i bought off ebay work and look good. they warranty the kit for life( long as i have the reciept and light is not broken) yes they warranty the bulb too. i went with the 6000k instead of 8000k for a lil bit whiter, which is a lighter blue. thank guys for all your help.:D:2thumbs:

Getting back to topic, I'm going to be installing the Oxford heated grips. They fit perfectly and connect to the spare switched 12v supply on the Spyder. You can switch them off in the Summer and off 4 different heat settings in the Winter.

Glue?

I have installed two sets of the Kury grips ( one for the Spyder and one for my wife's Vulcan Mean Streak ) and the glue bottle in both of them was hard as a rock.:( Used alittle super glue instead. Other than that, they work great!

Not in the Spyder accessory catalog, but now showing in the online site are BRP custom handgrips. Says they are softer feel and for $35, it might be worth trying.

KURYAKYN CRIPS

THANKS YOU GUYS FOR THE INFOR ON THE GRIPS GOT THEM ON AND THEY WORK VERY WELL. WAITING FOR STILETOS TO ARRIVE.:2thumbs:
