• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hand grips wearing out and hard

Hello
I have 2010 rt and the stock grips are getting hard and slippery from the hand oils. Is there a way to replace the rubber grips only. I ready don't care to put aftermarket over the top. I was thinking some kind of athletic tape but would prefer new grips. What are my options.

Thanks

Interesting..!!

Gloves....you can order new grips from brp or cheapcycleparts.com or your dealer. I always use gloves and the grips are like new. Hope your relaxing your grip...

Of course you can replace them and like Chupa said just order the replacements.

I will tell you though that because of the heaters, it's not a simple thing. It's not difficult but there is more to it than just removing the end cap screw and sliding the new ones on.

If you plan to do it yourself let me know and I will send you the instructions.

I think I got sponge covers from Tric (SL Sponsor) led a couple years ago. Still working great, just enough bigger to really comfortable, slip right on, Grip heater still feel fine.

I wrapped my grips with the leather you use on a tennis racket grip. It looked good, gives you a cushion for vibration AND has a slight "tackiness" to it for grip.
