• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Started new project today, 08 gs stereo, with guidance from spyderguy1 and nancy's toy thanks guys. head unit in trunk, fz1 power block in trunk, electronic antennae in trunk, speakers on dash, remote on handlebars. first pic shows switched power wires [ normally used to energize power outlet in trunk] that will be used to [turn on] FUSEBLOCK FZ1. more pics to follow. if you follow the horn wire backwards it will lead you right to it. 9-13-11 speakers showed up today. who would have thought that a surface/bar mount type of speaker would have an angled pointy back, rather than flat. just another puzzle to figure out. i'll mount them on dash over the vents, tomorrow.9-15-11 everything installed today, don't really like where the speakers are, but didn't have much choice, head unit, fuseblock, electronic antennae in trunk all mounted with industrial strength velcro[very sticky, like a glue trap, still need to iron out a few kinks, and tidy up some wires. getting close. DWG WATERPROOF SPEAKERS sound pretty good although mostly high end. 79.00 w/o amp. radio has plenty of power to drive speakers. 9-24-11 remote will not work because it cant "see" head unit. will pick up cable today that will serve as remote "eye" for head unit. this will run from trunk, up to dash, to a vent hole, so remote can "see" it, then everything should work correctly. 9-25-11 intalled ir repeater cable today everything works great. speakers leave much to be desired, they are basically tweeters.i'll probably switch to 5-1/4 speakers in my own pods, mounted over the dash vents. something like what AKA1004 did on his bike. i'll go with this for a while, i'm a little tired of removing body panels and wiring. maybe next month..........10-4-11 installed repeater cable, it and remote work great. been done for a while now. can't really hear it over 50mph, must need more power. it's still nice to have around town.which is where i am most of the time anyway.

Hey COZ, thought I sent you pics /etc, of my set up. Good to hear that you have tunes, but sad to hear of the issues. Try bounting your speakers on the inside of the handle bar stocks instead of the dash, think you will be happier.
