• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. GW Bogey

Desert Spyder

New member
I was at one of my dealers (B&B Motorsports, Victorville, CA) recently I discovered this on the rack. A Goldwing with training wheels. And those people dare make fun of us. But I'm not sure if this was made exclusively for stabilizing or as a bogey to tow. Pretty pricey kit. Probably costs more than the trailer.

So is anybody going to mount a set of them to the rear of an RS??

If they make the mounts for it ' But why.;) The kit doesn't affect the rear wheel, The two extra wheels are like training wheels on a bicycle.
I've seen a few of the Voyager kits on the road, They do look strange, I know what it is when i see them, but i cant describe what makes them look strange to me. :dontknow:

I believe there is also one called tow-Pac, same idea. I have heard stories, GWRRA Rally, that some have been stopped for to many wheels on the ground.
On Ohio. A M/C is any two or three wheeled .........
One man uses it when he has his wife on the back, but takes it off for solo runs. No other information on this one.

B & B Cycles

Desert Spyder, I saw one of these in Mt Vernon Washington where I bought my 2011 RTS. The guy that owned it traded it for a 2012 RTS. Also have a question. I now am in Lanncaster CA and need to get my 2011 RTS a 3,000 mi service and get the new filters and housings installed by a dealer. How is B&B Cycle for maintenance and timely turn around on service?

Very Common unit

That is a very common unit made by a company named Voyager. it runs about 3K to 4K
it is easy to install on most any motorcycle and is easy to remove if you want to go back to
2 wheels. They are sold to people who are having trouble holding up their motorcycles just
like the folks here who buy the Spyder but at a much lower cost and you can keep the bike you already have and ride it.. they actually work quite well

I know of a couple who put one on their motorcycle. Strangely, it was a Kawasaki Voyager with the Voyager trike kit.

The wife found it unnerving. It's exactly like training wheels. When running straight, the two outboard wheels are off the ground. When making a turn, the bike would lean over a couple of degrees, and then stop suddenly when the outboard wheel hit the ground.

They quickly sold it and bought a Harley trike.

I think you'll find that the new filters and housings are not available for use in California.

There is a kit for the Wing that raises the "training wheels" when you reach 15 mph....ride as a two wheeler (the wheels do not touch in a tight turn) and they lower when you slow to 15. It has an override if you want to ride "two wheels" with no training wheels on the ground. Kinda neat, but sure looks funny with the wheels up next to the saddle bags....

They look even wilder in stop-n-go traffic, with the "landing gear" coming down at each light, then raising as the rider accelerates. We had one here in town, and it was fascinating to watch.

They're pretty good but make an appointment first to expedite the service and make sure they have the required parts. Normally I do my own oil changes but I needed the new housing and filter. I provided my own oil (Amsoil 10-40 sold by BajaRon). They said this is not BRP spec and I said no, its better.

I also have a private mechanic in Riverside who is certified by BRP. Doesn't Jet World in Castaic provide service and a little closer?
