• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Guess the project!

Here is the final product. Just need to pull it and paint it. I think it turned out good. The wife is really happy with it being more secure. Obvious advantages:
1. Helps with center of gravity. Even though it was only 7.5 lbs it should help in cornering.
2. Traffic lights will now be easier tripped.
3. Better air flow than original.

Now all you have to do is come up with a way to mount it for those of us who don't have your highway bar! I guess I should have made my guess last night since I was thinking about underside panel replacement that would let air flow down but keep most of the crap out of there.

Why paint it if it's stainless? Nobody on the street sees under there!

It's regular steel. Actually, the bolts for the highway bars are connected through actual holes that are part of the frame so we should be able to make something up. You will have to have the bump skid for this to work. The OEM one is a very, very small piece of thin plastic. About 1/4 the size of the bump skid.

Since the fuel venting leakage issue of the 2013 is resolved, can these be made from titanium to produce cool white sparks while riding at night...

PK

Talk about a blank slate..!! :roflblack: hard to say..that small a perforation is not great for venting but would make a great basket for boiling crabs, shrimp etc...:roflblack:
CRAWFISH!!!:cheers: Justmissed mudbug madness round here (season).

Great idea, but I do see one problem with your current design.
Changing oil - as you will need to completely remove it to drain the oil. Now if you could put holes in those two spots that do not have a sharp edge that would solve the issue.

Both drain plugs are accessible without moving the screen. I made a point of that.

It looks a little distorted from the picture, but front to back width is only 2 feet.

Since I have put this one I have yet to have a light trip. And somehow it has reduced the frame torque a little. I like it! I'll run it for a week or so and raise the bike and give an lookover!
