• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

GSP on 2014 RT Limited keeps dying

I have 6500 miles on our 2014 RT Limited and the GSP unit died two weeks ago driving to the dealer for other work scheduled. They looked at it and cleaned all the connections and it worked again. Yesterday during a long ride, it died again! The Spyder is still under warranty. Anyone else having issues? Suggestions on what to do? Thanks!

Maybe the wires are crossed......ya got the "S" and the "P" crossed.:roflblack:

Sorry, couldn't resist

I don't know what connections they would have cleaned........however if this fixed the problem it would lead me to believe the connection is probably loose and them fiddling with it corrected it.......But it should not have come loose again !!!!.....Something may need replacing ..........Mike

I assume you are talking about your GPS. Pop the GPS off the mount. Inspect the contact pins on the mount. Are they straight? Are any stuck down? Then inspect the contacts on the back of the GPS. Are any damaged?

Have you ever washed the Spyder or driven in the rain without the GPS or protective cover installed?

I use the cover but I will check the pins. Thanks! I have the unit plugged into my laptop and it is fine so it has to be the connection to the bike.
