• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

GS/RS gas cap?

The cap off a BRP commander works well, i have been told by several BRP people that it actually works better than original? I lost mine on the way to Spyderfest and got one a Cowtown, $21.50
Cowtown did have the RS/GS cap, so i asked around and Harvey from SpyderPops said that Lamont had mention it to him awhilw back that it would work, so i went back to the counter and asked if they had that cap, and they did, work perfect.

I think I am going to get the locking one. I find the Brp one for 40 shipped.

I had issues with my RT cap on the way to Spyderfest caused gas to pour out of the cap. The BRP techs also told me that the Commander cap was better than the RT cap but I went with the OEM as it was covered under warranty.

GAS CAPS...WOULD YOU BELIEVE

I used to own a Saab 900 and had collected quite a few spare gas caps, mostly from junked cars cause you never know ....and for some reason Saab owners are either stupid or very forgetful and they would lose they'rs and then steal someone eles's ..So after reading this thread I went out and tried some of my collection on my Spyder....They seem to fit fine...they have rubber "O" rings and they "rachet" when they close and I know they are vented ...I know these caps also fit the filler necks of Ford products because I have tried them there also. I'll bet there are a skillion saab 900 gas caps lurking out there for free....haha......Mike......Oh Yea...It just might be all modern gas caps are the same......
